KOSTAL have developed a system which will handle high thermal, chemical and mechanical stresses, making it suitable for applications everywhere in the vehicle.
The system uses a light-guide conductor made up of a large number of individual glass fibers (GOF). The conductor is extremely flexible, allowing a very small bend-radius, and can therefore be integrated in conventional wiring harnesses without additional adjustment.
This KOSTAL system meets "MOST" requirements and is also suitable for transmitting different wave-lengths. It is therefore able to handle future applications.
