The flex foil conductor replaces the conventional arrangement of a wiring harness with receptacle housing / socket housing and its terminals. The KOSTAL solution reduces the number of components and thereby reduces costs. KOSTAL have designed the FLK 1.6 specially for this application, making it possible to handle any type of flex foil (FFC/FPC) with conductor thicknesses up to 200 µm maximum.
In addition to this special system, KOSTAL provide proven terminal systems for use flex foils in automobile applications. The range of products is designed to cover all the usual requirements. The connectors can be delivered with terminals already fitted and can be used with any type of flex foils. |
