Individualisation of comfort functions

The ability to select fully individualised seat positions is an important comfort function for the driver.

KOSTAL seat control units provide central, reliable co-ordination of the numerous motors in the seat structure. The inter-action of various planes of movement enables drivers of different heights and builds to set their ideal driving position. Seat-memory control units store the individual seat position which has been selected and drivers can therefore return the seat to their pre-selected position at the touch of a button. In association with the appropriate central locking systems and user-specific keys, the seat will also adjust automatically when the vehicle door is opened.

Cross-platform concepts

KOSTAL develop and manufacture seat control units based on cross-model platform concepts. Modular hardware and software architectures, combined with standard, adjustable function modules, make it possible to adapt the base functions, such as the number of directions of adjustment, memory data and stored seat positions. With KOSTAL seat control units, different operating concepts can be achieved by individual programming of the operating logic. In this way cost-effective, high-reliability modules can be created, tailored precisely to the customer’s requirements.
